This 35-year-old single mother of two was interested in having
breast enhancement. She had no history of breast disease, although she does
have a grandmother who was treated for breast cancer with a
mastectomy. She does not plan to have any more children.
She was a 36B and wanted to be a C to a full C cup. She plays golf
frequently and is quite good, so did not want the new breast size to
interfere with her golf swing.
Like most women, she had some mild breast asymmetry. The right
breast was smaller than the left side. After discussing the different
options, I recommended she undergo
breast augmentation with smooth
saline implants underneath the muscle. The surgery was performed
under general anesthesia as an outpatient. Placement of the incision
around the areola allowed us to make changes to the position and shape
of the areola. Photographs show her results six weeks after surgery.
She has great shape and symmetry. Six-month photographs show that the
scars have healed very nicely. She is a full C cup, and the breasts
are very soft and appear natural. The results after one and two years
remain outstanding.
