Originally from Upstate New York, Dr. Richard Rizzuto completed his undergraduate studies at the State University of New York at Binghamton. He graduated from medical school at the State University of New York Health Science Center at Syracuse and was selected into the Alpha Omega Alpha national honor medical society.

Dr. Rizzuto completed a five year residency in General Surgery at the University of South Florida, Tampa, after which he became board certified by the American Board of Surgery. This was followed by a two year residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Louisiana State University in New Orleans. He then sought additional training in cosmetic surgery, completing a one year fellowship devoted exclusively to cosmetic surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.
