Before establishing his Irvine and Corona plastic surgery practice, Dr. Smith trained in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the prestigious University of California at Los Angeles. UCLA is widely regarded as the home of one of the premiere plastic surgery programs in the country. Dr. Smith trained with many well-respected plastic surgeons in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills including several members of the extreme makeover team.

During his time as a chief resident at UCLA, Dr. Smith was involved in the much-publicized separation of the conjoined Guatemalan twins. The nearly 24-hour long surgery resulted in a successful separation and became the model for several future separation procedures. The breakthrough surgery captured worldwide attention and was featured on the Today show, Good Morning America, and the front page of the New York and LA Times.

Dr. Smith is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He’s a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS) and several other medical societies and organizations.

Dr. Smith specializes in breast augmentation for his patients in Orange County and beyond to the Riverside area. He is on staff at multiple hospitals including Saddleback Memorial Medical Center, Irvine Regional Medical Center, and Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center. Outpatient surgeries are performed at Laguna Hills Surgery Center. He currently is an active member of the breast center at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center and Irvine Medical Center.
