The Easy-to-Follow Guide to Sientra Implants

Updated on: July 31, 2018

Sientra has made silicone breast implants for more than a decade, with both domestic and international acclaim. The company is known for its use of high quality cohesive silicone gel known as High-Strength Cohesive Gel (HSC).

It has a modest but easy-to-follow selection of implants—107 in total. The HSC Round Textured category gives women the shaped look they want, with added security against capsular contracture. HSC Round Smooth implants are softer, provide more of a natural look and naturally shift with body positioning and movement. HSC+ Shaped product line has a “teardrop” shape, and contains options for round base (wide base + highest fullness), oval base (widest base width + medium fullness) and classic base (balanced mixture of base width and fullness).

Why doctors choose Sientra implants

Sientra only provides its products to board-certified surgeons in the U.S., ensuring that its high-quality implants are handled by professional and highly skilled doctors. Sientra’s implants employ the industry standard, highly-cohesive silicone gel, and have been through multi-year clinical studies with excellent results.

Sientra breast implant types

Sientra currently only produce silicone-based products. Use the links below to view the sizes and specifications of each breast implant type.

HSC Implants

Sientra HSC stands for High-Strength Cohesive silicone gel. It is a round implant with the strongest cohesive gel on the market, yet soft to the touch. This round implant offers a fuller, more dramatic appearance in the upper portion of the breast, and is available in both a smooth and a textured surface.

HSC implants combine Sientra's proprietary silicone gel interior with a durable outer shell (known as TRUE Texture) to create a soft, natural-like feel without sacrificing the integrity of the implant. Sientra's HSC implants have often been described as "gummy bear" implants, which is a non-medical term used to describe implants that retain their shape.
