BA with Pectus Excavatum

I have PE and would like to have a breast augmentation. In your opinion, does a breast augmentation help camouflage PE? My PS recommends I get HP round textured level 2 cohesive gel overs. I am 5' 2", weigh 115 pounds and wear 34b/32c. I have a 29" ribcage and 12 cm BWD.

Is this something you would recommend? I appreciate any assistance you can provide me in this matter.

Breast augmentation helps in some aspects

I have actually treated three patients with pectus excavatum for breast augmentation. The depth of the cleavage area does become accentuated with implants - specially high profile which will have more projection. However, the overall appearance of the breast improved and clothing such as bathing suits, etc fit better as the breast can now fill out the cup size. All the patient have been happy. As for sizing - go through the same process as any other patient - make sure your chest is measured appropriately to match the implant. Do not go too big. As for above or below the muscle - generally below has many advantages but everyone is different and this is something you have to discuss with your surgeon. I have placed all three patients' implants under the muscle. The muscle attachments are very variable and you do have to be cautious during the surgery as the contour of the chest is very different than a patient without pectus excavatum - this does not mean that under the muscle is not possible and it is still very safe. Good luck.
