The Options

I Recently Had My BA (July 2009). I've Had Problems With Slight Tenting (Symmastia) && Bottoming Out.

I've Seen My Surgeon, And She Suggests 2 Things.

1.) Switching From Unders To Overs?

OR

2.) Going In And Stitching Up The Pockets?

My Question Would Be...

Which Do You Suggest? Also, When Switching From Unders To Overs..Will This Fix The Symmastia/Bottoming Out??

Thank You In Advance For Your Reply

Symmastia

Symmastia is a very difficult issue to correct. Bottoming out is also difficult. Both issues are worsened by having too large of an implant. The first thing to do is make sure your implant is proportionate to your body and chest size. As for pocket revision - creating a new pocket is always the more reliable and longer lasting solution. Going over the muscle, however, has some downsides that you should discuss with your surgeon. You can have a new pocket created below the muscle and that would be my suggestion to discuss with your surgeon. Your current capsule can be obliterated surgically and you will still have your implants below the muscle. It will give you the best chance at correcting both issues without having to resort going over the muscle. Remember that implant size has alot to do with long term results. Good luck.
