Post accolate...and how to take it

Sorry...I posted this in another surgeons forum and didn't get a reply. I hope I do now. Thanks for reading.

Here is the question:
I gave my primary care physician the artical from this website regarding the study on accolate and how it could help c.c. (which my PS said I may be getting) and she gave me a one month supply. But I am curious about the dosing/additional info. The bottle states to take 2x a day one hour before eating or 2 hours after eating which is the same for treating asthma.
Do I really need to follow the eating guidlines. Is this jsut for the treatment of the asthma and how it breaks down when taken. I am curious if I may take this every twelve hours as prescribed, but not meeding to worry about the "empty stomach" thing. What would happen if I take it "not on an empty stomach"? Does it change the dynamics of the medicine for c.c.?
I am having a hard time taking this due to the eating restrictions.

justing wanting to pipe in here...

I'm on Accolate and the pharmacist told me the exact directions on how to take it the same as you. I find the morning pill is easier to take...but the night is a little tougher as I sometimes like to snack. Good luck to you !

Accolate

Your Rx should be taken as prescribed, which is the same for asthma treatment.
