Rash, What is it?
I have had this rash on my chest for about 4 weeks now. It occured after getting sun burned really bad. However is will clear up partially and then come back. I thought it could be sun poisoning, but didn't think it would take this long to go away, however it does seem to get worse in the sun. It does not itch. I also work out alot and thought that maybe it was from sweat. I have never had this until I got breast implants. Could you please take a look and tell me what you think it could be and if there is anything I can use to treat it? I am not allergic to anything.

Erin,
Is there anyway you can enlarge the pics a little, those are a little hard to see. I would suggest that you try an acne facial soap. Something like neutrogena facial soap for acne prone skin (or any glycerine soap). It won't totally dry out your skin, but it may clear up your rash. |

It took me awhile but I did enlarge it. I hope that helps. Thanks for your speedy reply.

No, but I tried some steriod spray my bff got from her work. She works at a derm. office. It seemed to help a little. Don't heat rashes usually go away fairly quickly?

yes and no. i fought one for a complete summer one year. if you sweat at all it irritates it furter. i used to put powder, liike the baby cornstarch stuff on it a couple of times a day to absorb moisture and to keep the itching down. its worth a try, i dont think it will hurt. good luck, i know how irritating it can be.

I got the same thing after my BA and am still fighting it. I have been putting mattifying cream on it and that seems to dry the little suckers up. They make me mental! I thought it might be as a result of the skin stretching and the oil glands being stimulated or something like that. I am no M.D., so I am curious to see if there is a response.

I have had this same problem, and I'm not one who breaks out. It has finally begun to clear up on its own. I also seem to be hyper sensitive to the sun in general (burning much easier) since my BA. I was wondering if it was an allergic reaction to the painkillers even though I have been off them for a while now. I'm curious to hear what Dr. Casper thinks about this as well.

So I went to the dermatologist today and he said I could be becoming allergic to the sun. I told him I had this last year but it went away in a few days and haven't had it until I got sunburned. He gave me some coritisone cream and also something with clindomyocin in it because the pores have become quite irritated. It actually looks worse now. I have a new rash on the back of my neck. What the heck is going on here? I just wish it would go away. The derm. also said to use sunblock with zinc and something else in it. I hope this is not related to my new implants in anyway.

The dermatologist could be wrong about the sun allergy. The doctor I work for thinks it is folliculitis and gave me some Bactroban. I hope this helps, it actually looks worse now than it does in the pics.

My spots look like this on the side of my breasts but on the chest area mine are actually filled with puss so they're red with white 'heads'.
I'll write down what you had so I can suggest this tomorrow to my GP. Thanks so much for replying to my thread I've been so worried. |

I had that too... exactly like it on my first month and it slowly went away. PS says it's heat rash. In my case, wearing the sports bra and having my boobs covered during recovery made my boobs sweat so thats how i got the rash. I also noticed that when I use my Bio Oil around my chest, it breaks me out so I stopped using that and I'm just using regular lotion now and it seems to be helping. I hate having sensitive skin! HTH! Good Luck.

I just noticed today that I am getting little bumps on my chest and between my breast. This seems to be pretty common. wonder why that is?
