![]() | My revision is less than 4 weeks away.....
And I'm a complete mess from the worry of it all. One thing I've learned about Breast augmentation and the revision surgeries is that every surgeon does it differently,.. believes differently,... and most of the time each will give you a different answer. Talk about stress a woman out!! I want to know from different surgeons what's YOUR method when doing a bottoming out revision......... When putting in the sutures in the fold/bottom of pockets.... Do you try to put the sutures in a semicircle,... the way the fold is shaped already?...... Or do you put the sutures in a straight line across the fold and let the implants round the fold back out? Do you open the pockets up bigger at the top to give more room for the swelling to not put pressure on the sutures or no? When changing implants out during a bottoming out revision,... Do you remove all the scar tissue in the pocket or just swap the implants out? Again,... I know every surgeon does it differently so I wanted to see what's the most used technique before I meet with my surgeon next week. Thanks in Advance |

Wow, I am so sorry for missing this. I try to answer each question. My bad. I place sutures in a semi-circle to match the fold. It is usually unnecessary to open up the upper portion, but I would if it needed it. For bottoming out, there is no need to remove the capsule and I use the same implant unless it is old. I hope that answers your questions, but if I missed one let me know. I apologize for not getting back to you, I thought I had already responded.
