![]() | Fluid surrounding implant
At my first post op visit (had capsulotomy on both, crescent lift, and replaced implants with 50cc smaller mod plus) my PS mentioned that I had fluid surrounding the left implant. He was checking for swelling and taking out stitches. I did not ask him about it as the topic then turned to preventing scar tissue from forming again. What does it mean to have fluid surrounding the implant? Does it just mean additional swelling (left is more swollen/puffy today than at the post op visit yesterday)? How long will the fluid remain? Thanks.

Any time there is an injury to tissue fluid is produced. It would be normal for a minimal amount to be present. Having a little more on one side does not necessarily mean anything. Ask your surgeon about it
