![]() | So unhappy with my results- please help!
I just had my redo 2 days ago- replaced saline unders (350cc filled to 390cc) with smaller silicone unders(350cc), along with some pocket revision to accommodate the new implants. My plastic surgeon put internal sutures on the bottoms and sides to lift them and push them closer together. Well, I took a peek at them today and my left breast is so much larger than my right. And my areola aren't straight- they're both pointing to the sides and one is lower than the other. Also, there's some indentation on both sides which make them look distorted. All in all, I was horrified. I called the office and was able to get a hold of the patient care coordinator (who was there during my consultation so she knew exactly what I was going for), and she said not to worry, that they are going to look a bit distorted for a while until all the swelling goes down. I know that there may be a little asymmetry at first, but the difference between each breast is very significant that I doubt any amount of healing might repair!!! I'm so scared they're going to turn out horrible! Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. In your experience, is it normal to have that much of a difference when doing implants along with pocket revisions, and that in time, they will form nicely and look the same? |

Without before and current pictures I could not tell you. It is early and alot of things change over a period of 2-3 months. The indentations almost always get better. Moving the implants toward the center do make the areola appear to point outwards. You need to discuss this with your PS. It could all be very normal or possibly you will need further surgery.

Thank you very much, Dr. Hueneke. I actually do have a current photo uploaded into my album. If it's not too much trouble can you please take a quick look and let me know if it looks like something that will somewhat correct itself after some time?

It appears your left breast is higher not larger. I am unclear why you had a redo. It looks like you have some drooping and I am wondering why a lift has not been done. In any case, I do not think this will totally correct with time. It may get better and you certainly need to talk to your PS

Thank you! I had a redo because I wanted to go smaller, plus the large implants I had before had bottomed out. My PS told me that a lift was not necessary and that having internal sutures would benefit me more considering I wanted them lifted higher and closer together to get more cleavage.
