Good morning Dr. Hueneke,
I was wondering how old your oldest breast augementation patient is? I am a young 50 (in May), in good health and am in the process of researching a BA. Do you think I will have a problem? Thanking you in advance for your reply. Jane |

Don't worry about it. I'm sure the doctor will tell you the same thing.
I just had mine two weeks ago and it's my 49th BIRTHDAY TODAY!!!!

I'm 53 and I had no problems.
I would encourage you to go for it.

The saying goes, "It's not how old you are, it's how old you feel." Very true. I think my oldest patient is 62. Her parents are still living in their early 90's. As long as your healthy, 50 is far from too old for an augmentation.
I wish you a speedy recovery. Dr. Hueneke |

Thank you!
Thank you Dr. I am in good health and don't act or feel 50 so hopefully I won't have a problem convincing my Dr. to go ahead.

The way I look at it, middle age is a great time to get a BA because:
1. We're still hot (and not just because of perimenopause) 2. We probably won't need more than one re-do provided there are no complications... if you get a BA in your early 20's you face many more re-do's. 3. Women tend to be more confident about their appearance in middle age and better able to weather the reality that their BA is unlikely to be perfect.

You're so right!
I am waivering in my decision but you have given me renewed positivity. My husband is being very supportive and I'm sure I will go through with it. I am excited and scared all in the same breath. I keep wondering what people will say and how I will respond. . . but I will jump that hurdle when I get to it I guess. Thanks again for all your positive feed back.

I had just turned 52 when I had my BA. No problems yet. The surgery and healing were not so difficult. I am so, so happy I had it done. I, too, would say go for it!
