Difference between mid C and full C

Hello, I was wondering if you could tell me what the difference between a mid C and a full C might be? I told my PS that I wanted a full C but he thought I would be fine with a mid C (although either would be good).

I am debating this right now. I want a natural look, nothing really too big, but I want to make sure that I get my money's worth and am satisfied. I have seen several pictures at his office but as I don't know what the difference is on people I can see in real life, I'm unsure.

I think I read somewhere that it is like a half a centimeter difference in projection, is that correct? I just want to know if visually there is a big difference.

Thank you for any advice.

It is a small difference. It is unrealistic to expect cup size to be exact when it can only be estimated by a surgeon. Since implants are measured by cc's not cup size, getting to a particular point is not as easy as it seems. It is less than 1/2 centimeter. Going for a look that is proportional and fits your body is a better approach.

How does a PS estimate a cup size? I know that surgeons prefer to talk in cc's but so often the cup comes into play because the patient does not fully understand cc's. Even when talking cups, it seems surgeons often get pretty close to the desired cup specified by the patient. Just wondering what the PS does to help them convert cc's to cups or do they just rely on experience?

My PS said he prefers to talk cc's but also said he likes to make the decision in the OR so he can do what fits the body best. He came very close to the cup size he said would look best on me but the number cc's he thought he might use was less. Just wondering how he got so close to the mentioned cup size.

Thanks.

It sounds like your surgeon's approach is similar to mine. Roughly 150-200cc's produces a cup increase. Someone who is a 32 or 34 will be more on the 150 end. A 36 or 38 will need more. So I can estimate a 34-A will need 300cc to be a C and about 350cc to be a fuller C. A lot depends upon how much breast tissue exists. Tons of patients are wearing the wrong bra size. So they are saying they are a B but not really. Usually they are wearing a padded bra as well. So when they want to be a C, do they want a C breast or to wear a C-cup. I learned the hard way to figure that out before surgery. But in the end it is in my opinion to be smart about it. Placing implants that exceed the limits of the woman's body is asking for trouble and I still believe making a good decision in the operating room isthe most important aspect.
