Done it - for the 3rd time!

Hi peeps. Still kind of drugged up but wanted to check in. The doc removed my implant and scar tissue on Friday. I saw it after I came round and he said it was the thickness of a leather part of a leather bound book .... Not good at all.. but all I can do now is hope and pary that it doesn;t come back again... Please send good vibes!!

Dr Kearney - What is the most important thing I should be doing in these early days to stop this from recurring! Loving you all for your support - This forum is really helping me get through this..

just take the antibiotics as presribed and lay low. If the scar capsule was comletely removed your chances of having a good outcome are better. If this fails you need to remove the implant and capsule, let the breast pocket close, wait about six months are put the implant back.
I doubt that will be necessary.

Wow - I'm juts looking at my last commnetary and I don't even remember writing it! Wow, those drugs are crazy!!

I’m at Day 10 now and went back to have my stitches removed today. They only put me on 10 days of antibiotics so I actually asked for more. They gave me another 10 days, but I’m not sure I need to take all of them?? The breast looks good at the moment. Was very soft and droopy/was lower when it was first done. It is coming up a bit now and is still quite bruised around my nipple but things still seem to be soft. It’s still inflamed and bigger than the other one so it’s hard to tell what’s going on in there. I’m doing the compression exercises when you move the implant, but only very few this time, certainly less than last time as after discussing this with the surgeon, he told me not to do it too much to avoid any micro trauma. Under my nipple feels hard, but I think this maybe internal stitching/layering? This is the 3rd time, so I think he had to do quite a bit to ensure my nipple looked good. I’m hoping and praying that this will be it. I just want to try and reduce the inflammation now so am taking Arnica and trying to eat ant-inflammatory foods – I’m thinking of taking some Omega 3,6,9 Fish oils/Flaxseed too – Do you think this will help?

I’m trying to take it easy and get everyone to send good wishes and vibes to my boob!!! – Maybe I should talk to it an give it some love?!!!

Anyway, I wanted to let you know my progress as I’ve had a few emails from you all. Thanks for your best wishes.

I think all of those things help. Stay the course and take the antibiotics.

CC Revision

Good Evening Salsaeminem and Everyone else,

I am happy to know that your 3rd surgery is much better. But, you haven't posted anything lately and I would like to know how your breast is doing.

I seem to have the same problem. I had my first BA in August of 2003; second in April of 2007 for upgrading to bigger boobs and revision for CC in my right breast. But, now it is a year and four months after second surgery and I have cc on the same, right breast. This is very depressing. I was flat all my life, finally have the courage and $ to do it and then I get all these problems. Right now, I'm on accolate, by plastic surgeon put me on it last week, to see if the tissues get a little softer. Otherwise, we are thinking a 3rd surgery, I'm not sure if I want to go there...

Please, Salsaeminem, let me know how you're doing.

Hello, I am on my 5th surgery for CC on my left breast, I think this will work out this time. I am a believer of these antibiotics and Accolate. My breast actually feels tightening when I don't take accolate. I will probably take 200mg advil and 400IU of vitamin E in three months, when there is ni longer a risk for bleeding into the pocket.

After care

Hi,

Did you have the surgery yet? I can't believe FIVE times?? I feel so bad for you I live in FL, too and I got CC in my rightie and found out about Aspen which is a physical therapy place in Coral Springs. I went for treatment and didn't have to have surgery and it's all better

But if you have already had the surgery they can still help because the ultrasound that they use (a special kind - see my other posts under complicatons) helps the tissue during the healing process NOT to get hard. It was so totally worth it for me not to have to have surgery again. I NEED to lift my arms in my work!! Anyway look up aspen after surgery dot com. Gosh, I really feel for you and hope and pray that you are able to get past this and enjoy your "girls" again.
