![]() ![]() | Quick Recovery Method
Dr. Kearney, I've been reading about this Quick Recovery method on breast augmentation. Where some PS's have their patients immediately after surgery lift them arms above their heads several times in order to stretch out the muscle and such. Have you heard anything about this? or would this only be practiced based on how the PS performed the surgery? i.e: this method is done when the PS performed using tools or if they took extra care in minimal touch to soft tissue and no medical instruments layed on ribs.... supposedly allows for minimal stress to the patients breasts and allows for faster recovery.. Some gals have had quick recovery with this method. And I'm just wondering if 1. you've heard of this and 2. if anyone could try this after surgery, or if this should be discussed with your PS in fear of tearing a stitch? Thanks. |

What makes for a quick recovery is the surgeon, not the post operative massage and movement. If the surgeon is "gentle" and does not struggle, cuts instead of ripping the tissue and you have very little if any bruising you will have a faster recovery, be able to move sooner etc. If the opposite of all of those things happen you will have a lot of pain and have difficultly massaging your implants and moving your arms at all. My Dr did the "quick recovery" method on me, I am 4 days post op and as you can see from my pic below, they look great! I am in very little pain, I can move my arms just fine and lift them above my head. Everything is going great, I would recommend it to anyone!
