There was some talk in the general discussion area about saline implants losing their size over time. Is this really true? I'm thinking about going with saline but haven't decided 100% yet (am going to discuss all of the pros and cons with my PS and make my final decision with him). I would hate to shrink once I finally get something.

No, I've never heard that. I had saline implants for 5 years and never lost any size.

I had saline implants for almost 8 years and they never "shrank". I did have cc, and that can cause them to appear smaller, as the implant is being squeezed and pressed against the chest wall. I know what post you are talking about, and thats totol bs..

Sorry if I started something. I was only inquiring about something I was told by a friend first hand about two seperate ba's she has had. Again, the post was not meant to offend, only to inquire.

I didnt get offended, but I worry about the *new* girls.. that read information that is not true, and then make a decision based on that.. if I came across harsh, it was NOT at all towards you.. it was towards a person.. that was stating it as a FACT that saline implants lose 20-30% over the first few years.. thats not true.. I think probably... there are so many ladies out there that have CC.. and it sets in a year or more after their ba. They dont go back to their ps, and assume its "normal".. (thats what I thought too originally) and so in that respect, cc does cause you to look, "smaller" because your implant is being squeezed to death!
And CC can happen with saline or silicone.. I didnt mean to sound rude honey.. I just got irritated and there was a banned member that was posting such bs about overs.. (I have overs) and then there were a few posts about saline implants, again.. maybe a friend noticed her breasts getting smaller over time, I am not arguing that fact, but I am saying that it was NOT because thats what happens to saline implants.. there HAD to be something else going on. Even losing weight can affect us..

Implants do not shrink regardless of whether they are saline or silicone. Breast tissue shrinks on top of them. Failure rates are .5% higher with silicone over saline which is almost no differnce. The main differnence with the implants is the feel underneath and laterally and some decrease in rippling laterally.
