Lift needed?

Hi, I'm currently a 36D and getting 750cc saline unders. I have one child (did not breastfeed) and have lost a lot of weight. I am currently 124 lbs, and used to weigh 164 and wear a 42DD. My ps said that I didn't need a lift because my nipples aren't pointing down and my breasts have a very nice shape. He said I'd need a large implant to fill in the extra skin I have, otherwise, that implant would float around. I told him I don't mind the sag, as long as the top of my breasts were full and round to match the bottom half. I hate how my breasts are so flat on top and then are big on the bottom. Do you think I would need a lift?

Woman who have large breasts can never have fullness on top like women that have small breasts. This is related to the skin envelope. Not having looked at your pictures I would still say that no matter how big of an implant you use you will never get the fullness on top that you want. You have to be careful about going with too big of an implant because it can weigh down the rest of your breast tissue if it gets out from under the muscle. I would be more inclined in a patient such as you to do a lift to reduce the skin envelope and put in a smaller high profile implant. Woman with large breasts who want upper pole fullness are the hardest of all patients to satisfy

If you want me to look at your photos you could send them to info@kearneymd.

good luck,
Dr. Kearney
