![]() | one more question please?
sooo lately ive been REALLY pushing down on these implants trying to get them to drop and i've been successful! i've noticed a little more dropping so far, yay! but the only problem is the past day or so i am getting this shooting pain starting from the very bottom of the pocket (where the implant is currently sitting) that goes all the way to the side of my implant and slightly towards my back only when i am pushing down pretty hard. could i be pushing too hard or is that just the pocket opening up? i'm just afraid i might be tearing apart my muscles or skin on the inside because that is exactly what it feels like! the best way to describe this pain is that when i am pushing the implant down, i feel like there is a pocket, which there is obviously, and the implant is only able to go so far and the more i push down i feel like i am ripping something apart from the inside to help it drop down more. or im thinking i could be hitting a nerve is that normal or even possible? sorry i wish i would have payed more attention in anatomy and i might be able to explain this a little better!

How far out are you and where is your incision. Generally it is hard to push down too much and I don't think you can tear anything by pushing down. Dr. Kearney |

Implants put in through the bellly button are prone to ride high 10 to 15% of the time. I would keep pushing but most of the settling is done by 3 months. That is not to say you won't settle more but if you have a long way to go I doubt you will make it. Good Luck, Dr. Kearney |
