![]() | chiropractic after BL/BA
I had a BL/breast augmentation (lollipop incision) almost a year ago. Just recently I went to a new chiropractor for an adjustment. I was laying face down on a table while he was pressing down on my upper back. He used more force than I'm used to and I felt alot of pressure than was comfortable but I didn't say anything, although I should have. My question is, can this harm the implants? I have silicone gels so I don't think they can rupture like that? Or could too much pressure cause damage to the healed incisions from the inside? Maybe I'm just being paranoid? Thanks for your reply, Mary |

It would be hard if not impossible to harm a set of silicone implants by pushing on your back when you were on your stomach. Dr. Kearney |

![]() | I have been going to my chiropractor since 2 weeks post op. He has a special pad with cut outs where the breasts are. Fits like a glove ![]() I did not tell him beforehand that I was getting a breast augmentation. I needed an adjustment as I go regularly due to a cervical vertebrae problem. I brought a pillow with me thinking it might help. After I told him about my breast augmentation he got out this special pad and it was WONDERFUL! I was really curious why he even had this pad and he said many women experience breast tenderness at times so it is part of his office equipment. It is so much more comfortable than the table, giving great support all the way from chest through the pelvic area. 10 months out and my breasts are no longer tender but he still uses it and I love it! Perhaps you can ask your Chiropractor if he has such pad. |

Hi! I go to the chiropractor about 1x weekly & ive had a lift with implants. It's kind of uncomfortable being on my tummy when he presses down but I'm not worried about my implants. If they can survive everything else I do, then going to the chiropractor should be the least of my worries!

Great question, glad you asked. I was also nervous about seeing my chiropractor after I have breast augmentation but feel better about it now.

Thank~you for this post. I have to go in to the chiropractor one everyother month to get my neck and hips put back into place. I have been nervous over whether or not i could go after breast augmentation. If i dont go in i get terrible headaches that dont go away for weeks, and i dont wanna live with those. I am soo happy that i can keep going to these appointments.

![]() | I went a week later. I have some cervical vertebrae degeneration and I had been going weekly. Never told him I was getting a breast augmentation.....LOL! So I brought in small blanket figuring a could shape it around the girls. After I told him about my surgery he got out a great pad that has openings for boobs. It works perfect and is so much more comfortable than the table. Its very padded and supportive all through the pelvic area. |
