how much cc can fit ur body

hi dr kearney

i quite often read on this site that a PS says they can only fit a certain amount of cc in. what actually determines this. can u actually tell during measurements the maximum u can fit to a persons body.

I am confused by this statement as well. As you look at implants getting bigger they generally get wider. I am not aware of any patient that I have seen that I ever felt restricted in how much volume I could put in. The skin always stretches.

i'll try clarify what i meant. i went to a PS yesterday.i was hoping for around 500 to 600cc. the PS told me the maximum he would do for me was around 400cc. he said that as i dont have much loose skin that my skin wouldnt stretch enough to have larger implants. i dont have a tiny build and i believe he is just ultra conservative. are u saying even if u dont have loose skin ur skin can still stretch to accomodate a size such as 600cc

The difference in those implants would mostly be in width. As you get wider you get more skin as opposed to needing more skin to go straight out. I that if you could fit a 400 cc then you could fit a 500 or 600cc. At some point though your breasts won't look better they will look distorted. The goal of this surgery is that when you take your top off you should be able to say "I have great breasts" not "how do you like my implants". Maybe your PS is suggesting that you will look distorted?
