Am i bottoming out?

Hey, Dr Kearney, I was wondering if i could send you a couple of photos as im not sure if i am bottoming out?
I had my surgery in august and since about 3 weeks later i noticed one side seems a little lower with a slight "line crease" going across it, I had them under the muscle.
If i am bottoming out, do they have to be fixed, will it get worse? If they stay like this then im "okay" with it, as its not noticable to look at, just in photos, but if i knew it was going to get worse i obviously would have to go in for a reop.

If I do have to have a reop, could i get larger implants? or would that make more of a chance of it happening again?

Also if i am bottoming out, Could the reason be that i was supposed to have overs but when the surgeon was putting the implants in he noticed there wasn't enough room so he had to put them under the muscle, could he have cut it open too much ready to put them over the muslce?

Thankyou, Stacey

x

I cannot remember if I answered you. You can send the photos to rek@kearneymd.com. I need a front view and lateral view of both sides. A preoperative view would be helpful.

Thankyou for replying
One more question, If i am bottoming out, do I "need" to get it fixed, does it usually just get worse? Im happy to keep it the way it is, im just afraid of it getting worse and looser where the implant could make its way around.

Thankyou

You will only know that over time. Typically after three months very little changes.

If it is not a huge change in size then you would probably be ok. It depends a little on what your PS does to correct the pocket. Ask your PS
