Worried about my results of my redo- would like feedback please.

I just had my redo 2 days ago- replaced saline unders (350cc filled to 390cc) with smaller silicone unders(350cc), along with some pocket revision to accommodate the new implants. My PS put internal sutures on the bottoms and sides to lift them and push them closer together.

Well, I took a peek at them today and my left breast is so much larger than my right. And my areola aren't straight- they're both pointing to the sides and one is lower than the other. Also, there's some indentation on both sides which make them look distorted. All in all, I was horrified. I called the office and was able to get a hold of the patient care coordinator (who was there during my consultation so she knew exactly what I was going for), and she said not to worry, that they are going to look a bit distorted for a while until all the swelling goes down.

I know that there may be a little asymmetry at first, but the difference between each breast is very significant that I doubt any amount of healing might repair!!! I'm so scared they're going to turn out horrible! Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. In your experience, is it normal to have that much of a difference when doing implants ALONG pocket revisions, and that in time, they will form nicely and look the same?

It is a little to soon for some things but others should look better. At this point you need to wait about six weeks to see what is going to change and decide if you need another surgery. In some cases I prefer that the patient wait three months but it depends upon what needs to be done. You could send me pre and post phtos if you have them and I would be happy to take a look. If that is the case send them to info@kearneymd.com

My PS told me not to make ANY evaluation over the first month or so. Everything changes daramaticaly. If you get to 1 month and still have concerns, then tell him. There is nothing that he will do until all of your swelling is gone anyway.

By the way, I think you are looking great for this stage of the game. Relax and try not to worry. I have done enough of that for the both of us!!!

Thank you both for your replies. I know it's too soon to tell if things will change but to me, it seems a bit much to just ignore and wait to see if it will change. Praying I won't have to go through surgery again.
