Bras 24/7?

Are bras anymore useful/important for woman with augmented breasts than those without? If so...why?

Yes, the larger the breasts, the more support they need. But each woman is different so the decision must be made on an individual basis.

I understand the issue of support and sag prevention, but my mother has a natural 38DD and she never sleeps with a bra on while I hear of so many woman with implants wearing a bra ALL the time. Their reasoning has to do with basic support and comfort issues but there also seems to be a belief that wearing a bra 24/7 will provide extra insurance against bottoming out or pocket issues. Is there any medical validity to this?

I am not sure what you are asking. If someone is having "pocket issues" wearing a bra 24/7 can be very helpful. It depends on what the issue is, the time line and compliance.

I do not have any issues with my breasts. The general agreement from woman seems to be that I am putting myself at risk for future complications by not wearing some kind of bra 24/7. Bras are infernal contraptions that I would like to go without while I'm home hanging out, sleeping and when I have to go to the gas station for a gallon of milk. So I'm just gathering opinions before I make the decision to strap myself in this thing for the rest of my life.

I know this will sound like an oxymoron but you need a comfortable bra. Without the bra gravity will work faster. If the bra is uncomfortable you won't wear it. If you don't want to wear a bra, you are more likely to need further surgery like a lift or implant repositioning.

There are no absolutes in medicine. There are some 70-year-old women with implants who don't need to wear a bra, but not many.
