Dr. Mele,

Which do you feel has less rippling, over filled saline or cohesive silicone? Thanks for your time.

Dear rxy54:

Rippling can occur with both Silicone gel and Saline filled breast implants; however, it is much more common with Saline filled breast implants.

Rippling depends on the stiffness of the shell, the viscosity of the filler, the tightness of the scar capsule and the visibility of rippling also depends on how much soft tissue covers the implant.
