I don't know what's going on with my left breast, but something is not right. My right one looks wonderful, but my left looks like maybe it's bottoming out... Already!? I have pictures in my 13 days post op album... any input on what might be the problem woudl be great. My PS hasn't given me much of an answer. He seems to never answer my question when I ask him, somehow he works his way around actually answering it! ![]()

Dear beadinbabe: It is not possible for me to give specific advice without seeing you. I did look at your pictures. The left side seems to be lower in all of them. Since there are no before pictures, it is hard to make any determinations. You will want to review your before and after pictures with your plastic surgeon, and see the preoperative position of the breast, and ask if there are any specific recommendations to help with healing and improving symmetry. For now, the best thing to do is to allow your body to heal. You note a post operative infection on the left side also, so it may take a while for the symmetry to improve. You may want to ask your plastic surgeon about supporting the left side in the interim, and ask what an be done if there is no improvement.

Well the doctor made a comment before surgery and said that I have very symmetrical breasts, he said most women has variations, but mine are almost identical. (pre breast augmentation) Thank you for your advice. If something was to be corrected, what kind of recovery would it be? I'm assuming it would be raising the crease? I don't know...

Hard to say from the photos. If the fullness is swelling from surgery, infection recovery it may resolve. If it is the implant "bottoming out" then surgery would be needed to raise the implant and close off the lower aspect of the pocket. You are only two weeks out, and sometimes supporting the inframammary fold can encourage the implant to stay put. This is worth discussing with you plastic surgeon. It can cause problems too, so it is best to ask. You may or may not be a good candidate.
