Laying on stomach-early cc?

Hello Dr. Mele,

I am concerned that I may be at the very beginning stages of CC.

My left breast is my "pretty" one (dropped nicely), but when I lay on the floor on my stomach, it is a bit harder in that pocket, even though it moves well in the pocket and it does not look like it is rising or gaining upper pole fullness.

However, I woke up today with a tighter feeling in the pec area of that side (I am 2 months out, unders). I may be being paranoid and could just have a tight muscle from something I did and do not realize it.

If the implant moves well when massaged, should I be worried about CC?

I am on aggressive massage/Compression currently. Thank you for your time.

Early Capsular Contracture

Dear picksydusst82:

Thank you for your question. Capsular contracture usually takes three months or longer to form. Massage has been shown to decrease the long term risk of capsular contracture, so I would encourage you to continue with that. If you are feeling that the pocket tightens overnight, and massage helps, all the more reason to continue.
