chronic tender spot :(

hi Dr. Mele- thank you for your time first off.

I am 4 1/2 mos post op with unders, and in my rightie for the past 2 mos have noticed a tender spot that is chronic. well, today in my routine massage, noticed a hard spot/lumpy spot as well in the same breast.

my PS has cleared me of any complications, but in your history, what could be the cause of a chronic tender spot almost 5 mos post op?

thank you again for your time!

Dear picksydusst82:

There is a long list of possible explanations, most of them benign, but rather than falsely reassure of alarm you, I suggest you follow up with you plastic surgeon. If you are, and are not getting a reasonable explanation, I would obtain a second opinion. This may or may not be related to your surgery, and a physical examination will go a long way toward limiting the possible causes.
