Allergan vs. Mentor

Do you know if Allergan offers the same deal as Mentor when it comes to the warrenty? Or is this just a Mentor special?

Dr. Pelletiere will become famous soon enough
As of right now, Allergan does not offer the same warranty. They do not cover up to $3500 for silicone implants, and they often times do not cover replacing the opposite breast at the same time.

how do I find this out for sure? I live in ohio and I specificly asked my docters office this question and she told me that they definantly have the same deal. She actually told me that she called the sales rep and he told her that they do have that deal. I also was wondering about the free bra that the girls have been talking about. What brand offers that. They seemed to not know about the free bra and panties either. If you could tell me how I can find this out for sure I would appreciate it. I think they may have already ordered mine after she reasured me that they have the same deal. I got the Allergen HP 500cc silicone. I will be ticked if something would happen and it was'nt covered like it could have been. Do you also know? if you don't get the MRI's and went with mammograms instead do they still cover the 3,500 and free implants? Thanks for your help Brittany

I would double check - Mentor is the only company that has the promotion with Le Mystere for the Bra/Panties if you get silicone implants. Also, I have not heard of Allergan matching the new $3500 amount for those getting Mentor silicone implants as of May 1, 2009. This is free and only requires that you send the form in within 45 days after surgery. With Allergan, they do not cover the contralateral implant free if you have the regular warranty - only if you have signed up for their premier warranty. With Mentor, they let the patient change the contralateral side free, regardless of the warranty. The MRI issue is only recommended, not mandatory, so it does not void the warranty. Overall, the Mentor warranty is a better deal.
