i found this in an article and i think it describes what is going on: "Traction Wrinkling, seen when the textured implant shell actually grabs the scar tissue surrounding the implant, and pulls the overlying skin and tissues inward. Traction wrinkling can actually pull the soft tissues away from the midline, causing less apparent cleavage, especially with heavily textured implants." although i don't know if i have textured implants? i have allergan natrelle, silicon implants. but, has anyone heard of this? my most recent pic...this has been developing on the right side since i looked the second day out... |

Traction rippling can actually happen with any implant, not just a textured one. It actually refers to the weight of the implant pulling on the capsule and causing some rippling - example - when some women lean forward or bend over they will get rippling on the sides as the implant pulls down on the pocket. The texturing can accentuate this, but not significantly. I have never seen a textured implant cause rippling that pulls the implant away from the midline enough to decrease cleavage. However, I do not use the textured implants alot so anything is possible.
