![]() | Form Stable Textured Cohesive Overs?
I am 5' 2" and weigh 115 pounds. My ribcage is 30" and my BWD is 12 cm. I have a large B or small C cup. My problem is I have Pectus Excavatum. My boobs are not full and fall to the side of my dent. My PS recommends Level 2 textured cohesive HP implants over the muscle. I would like to be a C+ or baby D, but full. I hope when I look down I see full breasts instead of my dent. My dent is not that bad, but it still bothers me. I am a little concerned because overs are not common. I am in the military stationed overseas and do not have many options. I live in Europe and they primarily use overs here. I lucked out because we have a board certified plastic surgeon here who has agreed to do my surgery. I do have to pay for it, which I have no problem doing. The military stopped doing free plastic surgery. Before my consult I was set on smooth silicone unders, but am very confused now. I appreciate any assistance you can give me in this matter. |

If you have any sort of breast tissue, which it sounds like you do, then there is no reason for an anatomical implant. Your own breast tissue will form a natural shape as it pulls down on the implant itself. You also do not need the texturing. The ultra cohesive implants only come in anatomical and textured so that they do not rotate in the pocket at all. These devices were actually designed more for breast reconstruction, or women who are a true A cup with little to no breast tissue at all. They do a good job, but are not for everyone. In terms of subglandular, I would not place them in that position - with your excavatum, it is nice to have some muscle coverage medially to help add some tissue over the medial implants. Otherwise, you may be very thin over those implants. Also with excavatum, you will want to go a little bigger then you plan - the excavatum will "eat" up part of the implant just masking that area. The one plus to having excavatum is that you will always have nice cleavage with the implants in. It is probably worth looking around at other surgeons just to get an opinion. The ASPS website does list european surgeons who are corresponding members, so it would be a good place to start (www.plasticsurgery.org).

Hi I also just got round textured silicone unders, just wondering if you massaged yours? I'm 10 days post op, but not sure if I should be massaging or if this will damage them? Thanks, CanadianGirl
