Your opinion please

Hi I've just had my left pocket released because my last implant did not drop and as well had an exchange from hp's to mods+ of only 60cc's. During my procedure my PS placed 3 sutures above the left implant to prevent it from riding up again and advised me to wear the strap for 23hrs/day for a month. Since day 1 my breasts are soft and sitting where I think they should be. They don't look like I have any dropping or fluffing to do (you can see my pics in my profile)
My question to you is can I risk making my breast too low or bottom out if I wear my band too long? My surgeon doesn't put the strap on most pts (nor does he believe in massage) so I'm not confident when he tells me that I shouldn't worry about it when I asked him this question. He seems really worried that the sutures won't hold up and the implant going back to where it was for 4months. How often does this occur? Do you think I should wear the strap that long? What about an underwire bra while wearing the strap? How will I know that its okay to stop wearing the strap? I'd love to hear back from you. I really don't want that implant to ride back up nor do I want to risk bottoming out or having my breasts too low.

Dr. Pelletiere will become famous soon enough
I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. Certainly the strap can help prevent the implant from riding up. I do not believe that the strap helps at all in a regular augmenation. It cannot generate enough force to push an implant down against tight tissues - only time does this. However, in a revision, where the implant has already dropped and is sitting in position, the strap can help keep the implant from pushing up too much. If there was not alot or work done to lower the fold, the fold should be fairly stable, so a little pressure should not make you bottom out. I would go with what your surgeon says, but it also may help to use an underwire bra as well to help keep the fold in place. Hopefully if everything is sitting nicely now, it should stay that way. That implant should not be under all the forces it was at the original surgery, so should not be forced higher.
