![]() | Experience with Subfascials?
I am trying to find out what the typical recovery with subfascials is like as far as settling and dropping etc. I am 3 weeks post-op with 270 cc subfascial cohesive gels (32 RC, nursed 3 kids, pre 36A) and one side is soft and looks well centered while the other side is higher, tighter, more toward the midline and seems smaller. I can see my ribcage on the outside on that one as well and not on the soft side. Is this uneveness seen with subfascials? How long do they take to settle to their final position? Thank you!

Each breast can take its own time to settle into position, so it is not unusual that one is still different then the other. It should not have to do with the subfascial placement, unless the fascia on the tighter side is not released enough to let the implant drop. More than likely, it just needs some time, given that it is only three weeks from the surgery. I am not sure if your surgeon instructed you on massage, but I would massage that breast a few times a day to help it stretch the tissues out. Remember, it can take 3-6 months in some women to finally get to where they are supposed to be. I would just be patient and see how things play out in the next month or two.
