Hi Dr Pelletiere, Ok so I am 6 mos out from orginal breast augmentation only about 8 wks from revision onmy rt side for bottoming out... My PS and I have discussed the staged event that I might need a lift.. Well here I am and after seeing 3 other docs only 1 really wanted to lift me??? What kind of lift do you think I need??? My biggest complaints that in a nice underwire push up bra I have LOTS of excess skin/tissue that gets all bunched up in the arm pit area.. It is very upsetting to me, is that correctable??? Also I dont like the gap from my arm pit to wear the breast starts to fill out seems excessively low??? Will a lift give me any more uppe pole fullness?? Thank you |

It is hard to give you an accurate idea about what you may or may not need without seeing pictures. If you wanted me to take a look, just send a bunch of pics to the office email address ( below). I will take a look at them and see what I think about what may or may not work for you. What size/type/fill implants do you have currently?

Thank you for sending the pics. I emailed this response to you as well. It looks like evrything is sitting good right now, but I can see what you are talking about in terms of the implant level. It looks like your anatomy is such that your breasts just sit lower on your chest then others. Because of this, the implants naturally sit lower. To raise the breasts up, you would need more than a lift - a lift probably wouldn't do everything for you. You would really need to raise the pocket internally by opening up the pocket up top and raising the fold internally. This would let the implant sit higher on your chest wall. You would then need a lift to redrape the skin/ nipple, etc. over the higher implants. Again, a lift may help some, but a lift is really a skin operation - removing and tightening excess skin. It doesn't do a great job of raising the implants up per say without some internal work. I hope this helps.

I kind or thought that was my situation and I hoped not... raising the fold just sounds like I would be a constant risk for bottoming out which all ready happened once.. I don't know if a couple of cm's would justify the scars (of a lift) my ps says a full anchor will help a little... I am so sad that I thought this would be good for me( breast augmentation) and I am know left with a mess uggg!!! An expensive one!! Thanks agian for you time I really do appreciate it |
