Unhappy Uneven dropping, snoopy boob ???

Dr. Pelletiere,

I am currently 20 days post revision; I went down from 425HP's to 300Mod+ (I had my 1st set for just 6 months, unders crease incision both times)

The first couple days post revision, my new implants looked fantastic and were sitting exactly where they should be; however for some reason after the 3rd day they seemed to have "ridden up", now they are high and look as though they need to drop, specifically my Right breast (even the first time around, Righty has always been most stubborn), it is much higher than the left.

[my PS mentioned that the "implant displacement appeared related to muscle contraction" the 1st time arond and that he disected the pocket a little further during my revision]

My PS suggested the strap and I'm currently wearing it day and night, very tight as to hurry things along but so far it feels like my left has dropped completely whereas my Right feels like it's STUCK up high. When I press down on it, it doesn't seem to go down as low as the left does.

I am currently concerned w/ what I have seen called "snoopy boob" and/or "double bubble" where the implant sits way up high and the natural breast tissue hangs off of it. This is what my Right looks and feels like now.

When I asked my PS about this again, he said that my breast was saggy to begin with and will be so after; but I don't understand why if BOTH breast were saggy one looks like snoopy boob and the other (though it has a nice natural hang) looks great!!! I can feel that something isn't right, specially since the first couple days I had NO snoopy boob and they both looked great, implants were sitting perfectly in both and they looked beautiful and natural.

Your thoughts/advice? Could my muscle flex have dislodged the Right implant, I have no idea what my PS meant by that :-(

There should be plenty of room in that pocket for the implant to sit in a lower position, so it really should not be a pocket issue. However, you have to remember that the breast tissues have been stretched for 6 months, and may take some time to recoil, if they do at all. Are you massaging? I would be aggressive with your massage and just make sure that it is not a pocket issue - everything should be nice and soft. I would also be patient - see how you are at the one month mark, although I would probably wait three months total before passing judegement on the result. There is always a chance after downsizing that a lift may be necessary. You just do not know until the tissues have had time to get used to the new setting. I am not sure if the strap really helps anyone, but sometimes we hope that it does a little bit for us. I would keep wearing it of your surgeon has recommended it. I hope this helps.

Thank you so much for the quick reply.

I am massaging, firmly and frequently. Sometimes I feel like the strap helps but then I seem to go back square one. I'm not so much concerned w/ the sagging or loose skin as I am snoopy boob, I just don't understand why one looks great and the other looks somewhat deformed w/ the implant up top and my boob litterally just hanging off of it, it also feels totally different than the Left. Also, the fact that the first cople of days they both looked great, implants both sitting perfectly behind the lower part of the breast, down in the crease, and then one just rode all the way up and now doesn't seem to want to go back down. Could scar tissue have anything to do w/ this? I'm just confused.

Right now they are both very soft, the Left completely through out; I can't even distinguish where my real tissue begins or ends, the implant is impossible to feel, whereas the Right though soft is much firmer up top where the implant is clearly sitting :-( The right also looks bigger than the left b/c of the eccess upper pole fullness cuased by the high implant.

There is always a chance that you developed some scar tissue rapidly, which can happen, and the implant is now being held in a higher position. If the implant feels different than the left side, then the pocket probably needs to be opened up to allow the implant to fall more. As you know, the implants should feel the same, so when they don't, you have to assume that the pocket is causing a problem, constricting the implant in one way or another. Again, I would talk to your surgeon at the one month check-up, but he/she will probably want to give it a couple more months to see if it does anything on its own first.
