Hello Dr.

How do you know you have a Capsular contracture? I had breast Augmentation done with 425cc high profile cohesive gel implants with a lift done 10 weeks ago. I love the results. Although my right breast is slightly firmer on the top area than the left. Both breasts look the same size and are symetrical.

Nancy

Dr. Pelletiere will become famous soon enough
It sounds like you are doing well. Contracture is usually a more long term problem, although it can occure early post-op in a small percentage of women. You are very early still in the overall process, so I wouldn't worry. I would just massage that breast 2-3 times a day to help soften a little. Also, if you are not a stomach sleeper, then you should lay down on your chest for a few minutes each day - the weight of your body will help stretch the scar tissue out. Women who sleep on their stomach or roll at night have a built in massage. I would check with your surgeon at the three month follow-up appointment, but this all sounds normal.
