scabbing

Hi Dr. Pousti,

I'm about one month post-op for my breast aug and had an areolar incision. i have some scabbing left but it seems to be taking forever to fall off. I don't know if its scabbing with an internal stitch attached to it because I see a little speck of white, so I'm hesitant to pull it out. Should I just wait for the scabs to fall off or should I take it off myself? I'm afraid it might open up a hole and it might get infected.

Wink

You should let the scab fall off by itself -- don't pull anything off. If it's bothering you a lot, you should go see your doctor.
