![]() | Dr. Revis- What does an evacuatio of hematoa entails
Hello Dr Revis, My ps told me that I do not have a cc but a hematoma in one of my breast. My breast is as hard as a rock and hurts quite a bit. What does an evacuation of hematoma entails? Will I still be able to keep my silicone implant in after the evacuation. What precautions should I take to prevent this from occuring in the future. ![]() Thanks for your advice. ![]() | Hematoma
Good afternoon, A hematoma is a collection of blood around the implant which requires surgery for drainage. There also appears to be a slightly higher capsular contracture rtate in patients who have needed hematoma drainage. Best wishes! Sincerely, Don Revis, MD www.SouthFloridaPlasticSurgery.com |
