Liposuction and Breast Augmentation done seperately?

Would you suggest to a patient to get tumescent liposuction and a breast augmentation and lift done at two separate times?

Lipo and BA

Good afternoon,

I actually like to combine the two for the following reasons:
1) You only have one recovery period during which you are away from work/activities, etc
2) The cost is considerably less because in my office the surgeon's fee is reduced by 50% for each additional procedure, each additional hour of anesthesia and OR is at a lower cost than the first hour of anesthesia and the OR

I do not believe that your safety is compromised by combining the procedures. In my opinion, one slightly longer anesthesia is safer than two shorter ones.

Many doctors who operate in their own offices will recommend strongly that you split the procedures up because in many states (like my state of Florida), there is a law strictly limiting the amount of fat that may be removed during liposuction when any other procedure is performed at the same time. In Florida the limit is 1000cc of fat removal when performed in an office OR when any other procedure is performed at the same time. If you perform surgery in a hospital, there is never a limit on the amount of fat that may be removed. 1000cc is hardly any at all, and most patients consider such a limited amount of fat removal to be a waste of time.

By recommending that you split up the procedures, you can have your breast augmentation and lipo separately and during the lipo they may remove more, thus getting around the law for office-based OR's. Since I only perform surgery in a full service hospital, there is no restriction on the amount of fat removed regardless of what combination of procedures my patient and I choose to undertake.

Hope this helps!

I had planned on getting Rhinoplasty, Breast and Brazilian buttocks a
all at once, But some Ps recommended I do Rhinoplasty and Breast and
then brazilian because they prefer for me to lay on my stomach rather
then sit on the buttocks after the surgery, Anyways ,
I wanted to ask you if you think its possible to go
from a 36A/Small B to 36DD, (650-700cc)
and would you recommend Silicon gels, or Saline
