![]() | Surgical Drawings Still Visable 2 mon post op
Hello Dr. Revis. I had my augmentation 2 months ago, incision site at the crease and I still seem to have what I believe are the surgical drawings. I'm asking for any input you may have because my PS office has kind of left me hanging on this issue due to having to move out of state, and they can't determine if the marks on my incision are sharpie or scar tissue. However the staff did say it was a little strange to still have Sharpie drawings still but didn't offer any resolution or put my mind at ease. Here is my situation. My incisions have healed up well, the area is smooth, and there doesn't appear to be any more glue or wax on the incision sites anymore. In my opinion, it looks like I still have sharpie marker except its under the surface of my skin from the healing process. I can exfoliate but I see no fading. It's on both creases. Do you have any suggestions? In your opinion does this look like sharpie or scaring? Have you ran into this problem before and what are some possible options for a resolution? Lastly, should this go away over time? Thank you. |

![]() | Sharpie marks
Good afternoon, I also use a sharpie and have only once seen a sharpie tattoo in ten years. It was only a dot. It looks like yours is most of the way along the incision, which would lead me to believe it is the scar not the sharpie. Perhaps you should go see another local PS because seeing it in person should determine that one way or the other. Good luck! Don Revis, MD www.SouthFloridaPlasticSurgery.com |
