IMF Repair

Hi
I had a IMF repair and pocket work to my right side.(june 10) At what point can you tell the revsion was a success. Or is this the loom and doom game, like forever I will be in constant worry??? I am in a very supportive push up bra 24/7 but that is not practical forever cause the look entirely too big like that, will I ever be able to tone down the bra?? As a surgeon can you feel if the repair is a success by touching the fold or just by looking, I was wonder how you acess that???

Good evening,

I think the pocket has healed well by 12 weeks, so I tell my patients that they need to be paranoid for three mjonths and not do any heavy lifting, etc., until after that time and to wear a good tight underwire bra until that time. This is the most common revision that I perform, and I recently saw a patient who is 9 years postop and the repair has held up well.

WOO HOOO my fingers are crossed and a tight bra has been on since day one!!!!!
