Sedation question

Hi
Kinda crazy but I am gonna ask... I had spinal anesthesia along with general for my IMF repair and pocket. I had a complication with spinal aspect, I remember being poked in the OR multiple times... Got thru the first nite, the next morning I could not lift my head up the headache pounded, I was vomitting and extrememly dizzy. Went to PS office and he PA took one look at me and sent me back to the sugi center who the anesthesiologist suggested a blood patch.... Agian felt like total hell,, POKE after POKE... It was painful and it lessened my headaches but I continued to throw up for 2 more days, at that point the surgi center took me back in and offered to do another Blood patch I said hell no... they hydrated me gave me something for nauseau sent me home... I week went by with more headaches and back pain there were over 8 puncture holes in my spine.. I forgot I had breast surgery my other symptoms were worse...MY PS HAS NOT SAID A WORD!!
Ok wk 2 I start with massive diarrhea and neasua I chalk it up to the augmenton (antibiotic)....so I start getting a sore throat and fever and congestion along with a headache I feel like a bad cold maybe flu like.... I jump on line bad mistake and read about bacterial meningitis after spinal anesthesia and freak myself out, 2 nites in a row I wake up covered in sweat and my DH is like your breaking a fever???

What do I do am I jumping the gun,, I am afraid of my PS at this point he doesn't care... Is it possible???
Sorry so long

Thanks

Spinal Anesthesia

Good afternoon,

Your situation is exactly why I have never used a spinal anesthetic for a breast augmentation procedure in over 2000 cases- in my opinion it is just not necessary and carries too much risk. Your PS needs to know your concerns and needs to take care of you- insist upon it- the PS is the captain of the ship and is responsible for managing your care, whatever you may require.

Best Wishes,

Thank Dr Revis...
As for my PS I think 2 bad experiences and your pretty much thru with him...I guess if my surgery doesn't hold I have to find a new PS...I still have back pain which I never had before and I guess I am stuck with a bad situation that just got worse... I have to laugh for the Captain of his ship, not excatly he did even bother to put a call out when I was readmitted 3 days later ... Just so disappointing!!
