![]() | Overs to address problem with sagging?
I was going thru the before & after pics and came across this one dr that choose to go over the muscle with the implants to address the sagging? What is the reasoning behind this? Why doesn't that actually make them sag more? Here's the link http://www.justbreastimplants.com/ga...tos_set134.htm Thanks for your time! Jennifer |

My ps also said that he wanted to place them over them muscle bc i have slight sagging. I never thought i did (never had kids) but I guess i do so he said going over the muscle would help. I also would like to know the answer to this. I would think going under the muscle would help with sagging but what do i know?

![]() | Overs vs. Unders
Good afternoon, My approach is different than the physician referred to, and I think it has the most to do with what works best in each surgeon's hands. I often tell patients that if they ask three plastic surgeons a question they are likely to get three different answers. I strongly support the submuscular placement- it improves the quality of mammograms, it has a more natural look and feel, and the risk of capsular contracture is lower. The patient in question has minimal ptosis (droopiness) and an implant alone is the solution. I would not hesitate to place it under the muscle for her. Hope this helps!
