Internal Bra

What is involved in doing this procedure? Does it lift the breast? Can it prevent breast sagging? The reason why I ask is b/c I had my breast augmentation done two yrs ago and my left breast hangs lower than righty. Now righty is only 3 months old b/c I had a revision on it. But in the future I may think about doing that. My left breast before breast augmentation has always hung lower. My creases are the same level. Would I benefit from this? I do live in Florida about 4 hrs give or take from Ft Lauderdale.

Internal Bra

Good evening,

The Internal Bra is a permanent suture technique that is used to correct bottoming out and synmastia. So if the implants sit too low on the chest and the nipple appears too high, if you have synmastia, or if the implants fall into your armpits when you lie down, then the internal bra is the procedure of choice and works extremely well- I use it 3-4 times a week.

If the creases are equal and in the right location, but the breast droops over the implant and down, then a traditional breast lift (anchor, Binelli or Vertical) would be more appropriate.

Happy Healing!

Good morning, Dr.

How involved is this procedure, and what does the scarring look like? My implants are stunningly gorgeous and I'm thrilled with them, but they do fall far into my armpits when I lie down. This is a very minor concern considering all that could go wrong with implants, but if it's not all that involved, I would like to fix it.

So, to keep them from falling sideways where would the incision be, about how big is it, and is this a relatively simple outpatient procedure?

Thanks!

Internal Bra

Good morning,

The internal bra is all done on the inside so the only external sign is that I must use the areolar or inframammary approach to get to it. Since most patients already have one of these scars, we just use it again. It is an outpatient procedure that most patients find fairly easy.

Best Wishes,
Don Revis, MD
