4 mos out, still tender spot?

hello Dr. Revis,

I had my breast augmentation in late June of this year- I still have tender spot on my right breast, bottom closer to my sternum. The breast is soft, moves well in the pocket (though it is still slower in dropping than my leftie), but for the past couple of months, it has been tender in the same spot. The spot that is tender, is the the area I would like the breast to fall into a bit more.

Is not normal to have tender spots 4ish months post breast augmentation? I had saline unders if that helps at all-

Thank you for your time!!

Tender spot

Good afternoon,

This doesn't sound terribly out of the ordinary. It is likely the muscle a little tight in this area since it has not relaxed to allow the implant to settle fully. If you were my patient, I would recommend massaging the spot 15 minutes twice a day and use some ibuprofen if it bothers you enough.

Best wishes and happy dropping,
Don Revis, MD
