shrinking boobs

I had my breast augmentation on 8/13/09 i have 500cc's. I had unders and am surprised i'm not bigger. I feel a bit annoyed cos they are not as big as i hoped and they seem to be shrinking. Is that normal?

Good afternoon,

I think what you are probably experiencing is the normal swelling going away during that first 12 week period. Unders do typically look smaller than overs at the same volume because of the compression effect of the muscle on the look. I have all patients try on sizers in the office with a surgical bra and then we add 10-15% to make up for this compression. For instance, if you like the 450cc then we would likely use the 500cc.
