Drains, Swelling & Size

Dr. Sorokin,

You answered another 1 of my questions amazingly, so I thought it'd be best to ask you another!

I just got my breast augmentation a few days ago (I am 3 days PO now).

My PS used drains on me.

I have heard that drains decrease swelling.

My question is this: Since I have drains, do you think that I'll pretty much stay the same size that I am now? Or do you think I still could be swollen, regardless of having drains?

Thanks for your time and insight!

You will absolutely, 100% of the time, have swelling despite having the drains. The drains remove fluid that would otherwise have to be absorbed so they certainly reduce swelling but do not eliminate it. I wish you a very quick recovery! Good luck!
