![]() | Is a seroma serious??
Hello Dr. Sorokin I had my surgery done abroad as I was in a hurry to get my implants in and I had just sent my surgeon some photos of my breasts and he has said I have a seroma in each breast. But he told me to wait 4 months to fly to see him and have my implants removed and replaced with smaller ones ( I think I went to big) and then place drains in. But is waiting 4 months going to hurt me in any way. I was thinking of going to a surgeon close to home but am worried they wont want to drain the fluids and I dont know the cost. Thanks so much for your time and greatly appreciate it. Ashley |

A stable seroma that is not getting bigger is unlikely to hurt you. It may very well go away with time. If you are unsure on the advice you are being given because your surgeon is in another country, go get a local opinion and exam.

I am no doctor but even I can tell I do not have a seroma.I have got a second opinion from a doctor nearby that it is a misplaced implant and to leave it for a while to make sure it does not just drop into place. I just have some trust issues at this point. Thanks so much
