HELP! 11 days left til surgery and I am sick.what to do?? :(

My scheduled surgery date is the 30th of August and I have developed a chesty cough.

From my knowledge we are not suppose to take anything 2 weeks prior surgery but i want to be infection free prior surgery or they won't operate on me right?

Can I take anything for it at all or just try to shake it? If I can what can It be.

You need to go see your regular doctor ASAP and see if you need antibiotics.

thank you for that. I had spoke to my DR and I am not allowed anything.

Also, I am currently drinking protein shakes. can I continue to do so do I need to stop?
