Breasts are VERY close together just need an opinion

Hello I was just wondering if you could take a quick look at my post op album and tell me if you think the closeness of my breasts is normal. in the photos i'm only 3 days post op. I just am so worried about getting symmastia. I had close cleavage before my augmentation but i am just worried that they are going to get closer and closer together. It could be swelling but I just would feel better if you would take a quick peek at them and let me know! Thank you so much!!

Manda, mine were very close too. I am now going on 4 weeks and everything is OK. I was a little worried at first, but the doc just did a great job, and I got great placement. You do too.

I don't think you should worry.

it doesn't look like you have symmastia at all. I looked the same way right after because i, like you too, had close together boobs pre breast augmentation!

I took a look at the photos and certainly the implants are not touching at this point but they do seem pretty close. Some women certainly try to achieve the look you have and would be very happy with it. I do not have the assistance of a preop exam and to truly answer your question I would at least need a preop photo. You can always email to me if you would like. From the size implants that you received and from what appears to be a very petite frame as well as the postop photos it does appear that your surgeon may have detached medial pectoralis muscle in order to create a pocket big enough for these implants. This allows implants to move towards the midline and as you likely realize, puts you at risk for symmastia depending on how much muscle was released. At this point I believe the best thing to do is enjoy the implants. I would follow your surgeon's postop instructions as to when it is ok to lift, exercise, etc. I would follow instructions on what types of bras he/she believes are important based on the procedure he did. We all have different protocols for followup instructions based on our training, experience, and what produces good results in our hands and thus I would avoid the advice you get from friends and speak to your surgeon.
