question re lift

Hi Dr. Walden - first of all - welcome to the forum!!!

I have Inamed 420 f/t 450 Mod implants (13.4 x 4.5) and a crescent lift. The lift was not enough and I feel like the implants are too wide for my body plus I don't like the side boobage. I'm barely 5ft tall started with 36B, wanted 36D but ended up a 36DD. I would like to downsize to a D. I have two questions on how to achieve this (1) I was told that if I get a vertical lift alone this should reduce me to a D, is this correct? (2) if I switch implants and get a lift, what implants would you suggest (these are what I was thinking) Inamed 330-360 (12.3 x 4.2); ModPlus 375 (12.3 x 4.7) or HP 400 (11.9 x. 5.0). Thank you for your help!

Post Lift procedures

It would be very difficult to make a recommendation on size without examining you, so I won't do that. The things I can tell you in a general sense are: the larger the implants you have, the more tissue and skin stretch you will experience. This can sometimes necessitate a lift procedure if you were to downsize.

In my experience, vertical and inverted-T mastopexy, or breast lift, designs provide a more reliable and aesthetic lift in patients with stretched, saggy tissues. I usually opt for those designs if someone needs a lift. All other things equal, usually lift procedures with a vertical incision involved can get rid of excess or stretched lower pole skin, for this reason it can narrow the breast base and make the breast appear a bit smaller while raising the nipple back to a perky look..hope this helps!
